This is the third course in the Historian Basics series. In this course you will learn how Proficy Historian collects data from a variety of sources. You will add several collectors designed for common data sources and then add and configure tags.

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

• Understand the range of collectors available for Proficy Historian.
• Describe the common functions of Proficy Historian Collectors.
• Add collector instances using Configuration Hub. 
• Configure collector properties in both Configuration Hub and the Desktop Administrator. 
• Add collector instances using the command line. 
• Describe the role of tags. 
• Perform tag maintenance. 
• Use the tag maintenance tools.
